Teachers are able to apply for the Best Buy's te@ch award for teachers that use technology to "make learning fun!" I won the award ($2500) last year! Part of how I "make learning fun" is our butterfly project that includes using the resources of Monarch Watch and Journey North.

Thanks for the information on the Best Buy Grant. Unfortunately, the offer is only open to teachers in the States, not to Canadians.
They do offer some limited funding (around $50) to Canadian schools. Here's the link for more information:
