Monarch Life Cycle Stamps

Postby Mona Miller » Sat Dec 20, 2008 11:28 am

My daughter sent me a set of neat butterfly stamps. If you google,
"Butterfly Life Cycle Stamps", you can find these at several different
stores.

"You'll be able to do all sorts of presentations, displays, homework, cards
and more with this set of Butterfly Life Cycle Stamps. From an egg, to
chrysalis, to larvae to a beautiful butterfly, you'll be able to see and
reproduce each stage in a butterfly's life. The four stamps come in a clear
storage case."

Hi Mona - I had difficulty accessing this website. Last April, I presented the life cycle of the monarch and the black swallowtail butterflies to my grand-daughter's kindergarten class. Since photography is a hobby of mine and goes hand in hand with butterfly gardening, I made a poster board of the complete life cycles of the 2 butterflies. The little ones loved it! I also read a book to them entitled "I Wish I were a Butterfly" and made printouts of a monarch for the children to color...........This is the first time I had ever done something like this, yet I had such delight with the knowledge of these little 5 year olds............It is never too early to start teaching children about the wonders of nature!
My grand-daughter (now 6) helps me in my gardens during the season & helped me tag the monarchs - she loves the monarchs as much as I do............

This is another company which sales the same stamps.

I help my headstart teacher friend by providing caterpillars each year. The kids love the butterflies. 'Cap-t-killers' I heard one say just the other day. They are 3 and 4 year olds. They are so cute.
