Observations from a newbie

Postby texas butterfly » Tue Jun 16, 2009 11:11 pm

I am amazed at how the Monarch lifecycle works.
Seeing it is hard to believe that this is even real.

My thoughts as I observed a hungry catepillar working at a taller milkweed.

He'd climb to the top and then be rewarded with a bunch of milkweed leaves.

As he finished those leaves he'd crawl down and move to another branch and climb to the top.

How much do you think he was sad when he arrived at the top to find "NO LEAVES". Someone else had already been there.

So, he started the process over again. And climbed down the stalk to move to the next stalk and hope for his prize at the top.

Made me wonder if a cat could get in a loop and keep climbing to the top and always finding the cupboard empty.
