Monarch Generation Question

Can anyone explain to me the entire Monarch Migration cycle? How many generations from one migration to the next? Which monarchs are the migrators? The ones I released in June don't migrate do they? I ordered eggs in late spring and released about 27 monarchs in June. I'm on my second cycle now, but this time with my own eggs found on my own milkweed supply. Will these migrate or will I be able to get a third cyle in before November?
