Migration/Tagging Questions for next year

Hello, This year I was new to monarch rearing and of course was absoulutly amazed and hooked !
I would like to start tagging next year but, I am having trouble understanding the migration timing and which Monarchs would be tagged ect... I live in New jersey.

Can anyone explain it in a way that wont make my head spin

Thanks Mona....I still get a little confused. I assume I should start tagging for sure in Sept. if I am not mistaken....

Yes September, but I'd make that mid to late September. Monarchs are still making their way down the coast in October, too.

I just did a tag search for New Jersey (those Monarchs that were tagged in NJ and the tags found in Mexico).

Select New Jersey in the drop down list and hit submit to get the tag data. It will not let me post the search results.

There were a few tagged in late August, others in September and October and one actually in November.
