'Four Wings and a Prayer" - Movie

Postby dannus plex » Thu Feb 11, 2010 9:53 pm

A great movie available on DVD, based on the book by Sue Halpern. Anyone who tags should check it out. It is stated in the narration that "100,000 are tagged annually, 200 tags found, with 40 being found in Mexico. As a tagger who has had 3 recovered in 2009 at the over wintering grounds in Mexico, I am impressed with these stats. But how accurate are they?

The film "Four Wings and a Prayer" is produced by the National Film Board of Canada and can be purchased from their website http://www.nfb.ca.

Some where I heard that "The Incredible Journey of Butterflies" was taken from the film "Four Wings and a Prayer". You can still watch it online on PBS:

If you teach a good DVD is "Journey’s and Transformations – The Monarch Butterfly Story DVD". This was produced by the Monarch Teacher Network. Only costs $5, with shipping of 4. You can order up to 4 with the same shipping costs.
