Monarchs dont get a chance for nectar by me.

Monarchs come by me around august, when all the milkweed are starting to grow seed pods. The milkweed loses their flowers in july by me. So the caterpillars only hatch from their eggs in august, which does not seem like they have enough time to mature. So how do the monarchs bulk up for winter, if the milkweed flowers are gone when they reach my area?
