Toronto - When is it too late to release

I'm new to the whole raising butterflies thing but we just found 3 eggs last weekend. They just hatched Sept 4 2007 here in Mississauga, ON (Toronto) and I am wondering if it will be too late to release the when they eclose or what should I do with them.

I have a friend who travels down to Pennsylvania every week if that is far enough south he could take then or there is the Niagara Butterfly conservatory.
Hope someone can advise me. My daughter's Kindergarten clss is currently enjoying them.

Fortunately, with global warming some places seem to be staying warm longer. If the butterfly has thoroughly dried it wings and the weather is above 60 (good flying weather), they should be okay to release.

Unfortunately, it is against the law to transport butterflies across state lines without permits in the US. I don't think Canada has any laws with transporting them across provinces.

This law is for everyone, not just butterfly farmers.

I have taken butterflies to the zoo butterfly exhibit, but had to get permission from the zoo and the USDA first because they are located in DC and I am in Virginia
