migration begun?

I live just north of Lake Erie and tag on the cliffs overlooking the beach. This is also the route of the hawk migration. It was a slow start up here, attributed to the incredibly mild weather, no rain, and only a few cool nights. I started this years tagging Sept 9, and tagged my 99th Monarch today. I must add that we raised and tagged 20 at home. Today I tagged 18 in 45 minutes. They were so focused on lapping up the nectar from the wild aster, I could have picked them off with my fingers. If the rain forecasted for the weekend occurs, the Monarchs will start massing by hundreds along the lakeshore, and start moving across the lake next week.
