"Off to Mexico" Blog - recovered butterfly

Postby Pat » Thu Aug 26, 2004 2:14 pm

Hi,
I'm the lady in Pennsylvania whose butterfly #CBI 110 was recorded so nicely in the "Off to Mexico" blog with your photograph. I've been trying to e-mail you one of my digital photos of what he (and his sister CBI 111, whose tag is readable in the picture at high resolution) looked like before they left my yard on their long trip, but I don't think my e-mails with the attachments are ever getting through. I e-mailed my tagging data sheets in an Excel file and I can't tell if that ever got through, either, but I don't think so. Is there somewhere we can send our digital photos to you? The Blog says something about "if this butterfly was really tagged there, it flew over 2,000 miles" and YES, it was really tagged here, and I have the photos to share! I'm looking forward to adding to my certificate collection, too. :D

For those of you that have not seen our "Off to Mexico" BLOG that chronicles our tip to Mexico earlier this year you can view it at

Here's the male monarch that Pat tagged with Tag CBI 110 in Pennsylvania (along with his "sister" CBI 111):

and here he is recovered in Mexico after the winter storm:

Thanks for the photo!
