"Massive Arrival"? Journey North will be singing a different tune in a few months when it becomes obvious the monarch population in Michoacan this season is the lowest ever observed before. Debbie in Thunder Bay, Ontario warned us last summer that predators had devastated the monarch egg and caterpillar population and her observations have been substantiated by many other monarch enthusiasts living in the area between Michigan /Ohio and westward to North Dakota / Nebraska and the Canadian provinces north of that region.
