Please send dry seeds in either paper bags (small) or zip-lock bags or dry pods in onion sacks or other suitable storage. (We can sort the seeds from the floss - we have a new (cheap) seed sorter - a team effort in design and implementation that we will present soon.)

We need the species of each batch of seed along with the name of the collector (or groups), month and year, county and state of origin of each seed collection.

The protocols will be published soon. Since the common milkweed (A. syriaca) usually forms clones, it is advisable to collect the seed pods of this species from a number of different sites to adequately represent the genetic diversity of the populations in your area. The common milkweed is the only species among the 20 we are targeting nationwide to which this applies.
